PSMA California Management Roundtables – 2008 Calendar

SUMMER 2008 THURSDAY LUNCHES

Individual program details below!

PSMA (Professional Services Management Association) www.psmanet.org is a long-standing, not-for-profit, national organization that offers roundtables, seminars, and other forums for top executives and managers in all areas of professional services (A/E/P) consulting business, as well as opportunities to compare notes with and learn from peers. Discussion and instruction topics include corporate governance, company operations, leadership succession, finance and accounting, talent acquisition and development, marketing and sales, knowledge and data management, and project delivery/client service.

There is no other association that offers specifically to executives and managers of A/E/P and related professional services consulting firms our range of opportunities to network with, and learn from, their business peers. If you are responsible for developing your emerging leaders’ -- and your own!-- business and management skills, bring them to one of our upcoming programs. You’ll learn of current industry business practices—as implemented by big and small firms serving all market sectors—and discuss directly with other practitioners common leadership and management issues and solutions. PSMA California Chapter’s events are developed to support our industry’s leadership development and continuity efforts.

Management Roundtable – Thursday, 26 June – San Diego

MANAGING MULTIPLE GENERATIONS IN THE WORKPLACE

Presented by Laurie Dreyer-Hadley, Principal, Anshen + Allen www.anshen.com

Time: 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

Location: HMC Architects, 1010 Second Avenue, Studio 810, West Tower, 619.744.4077

Increasingly, in the face of dwindling talent pools, company leaders and managers are paying attention to social differences among boomers, gen x, gen y, and the generations before and after. Understanding the range of perspectives in the work force and what motivates different age groups supports more effective firm communication, skills development, and retention programs. Throughout her 20-year career in human resources, Laurie Dreyer-Hadley has tracked generational demographics in the workplace and applied what she learned in her roles as human resources director with The Ratcliff Architects, Gensler, Psomas, and currently as a Principal with Anshen + Allen. In this recently “standing-room only” presentation, Laurie presents current data and her own industry observations to stimulate our discussion of talent management strategies.

Roundtable fees: $30 PSMA and SMPS members / $40 non-members

Lunch is provided. RSVP to kathryn@sprankleleadership.com
